For 25+ years, neighborhood kids and people from the area slowly built this amazing trail of BMX bike jumps using only picks and shovels in an undeveloped area in Fuquay-Varina, NC. That land was recently sold to build a new subdivision.
When my brother in law, Mike, heard about the sale, he contacted the company to ask when they planned to build on the land so he could get the word out and put together an even for one last ride before they started construction. Wellons Construction was unaware of what was on the land they'd purchased, so Mike sent them some videos that the BMX riders made on the trail. Mike ended up speaking with the Vice President of the company who then offered to sponsor the event and provide free food, drinks, and t-shirts for everyone!
How amazing is that!
Mike asked me to design the t-shirt for the event which is what I've been working on the last few days.
If you would like to go, RSVP on the website and don't forget to provide your t-shirt size!
