Why did I choose such a loud color palette?

Because it’s all I know.

My only real experience with using and mixing colors came from decorating cakes for my family. Colors on a cake can’t be dull; it’s unappetizing, so I had to learn how to mix colors in a way that made them darker without becoming dull and that translated over to how I paint.

I grew up watching my mom decorate cakes and eventually, she taught me. If not for her, my style would be nothing like it is today.
